Our tyre fitting process
Tyre fitting takes around 15 to 20 minutes per wheel at our workshop on Victoria Way in Burgess Hill. We use modern tyre changers designed to protect alloy wheels from damage during the bead break and fitting.
Once the new tyre is on, we balance the wheel on a precision balancer. Even a small weight imbalance causes vibration through the steering wheel above 50 mph and accelerates uneven tyre wear, so we balance every tyre as standard rather than treating it as an extra. New valves are fitted with every tyre.
If you have a TPMS-equipped car (most cars sold in the UK since 2014), we reset the system after fitting. Tyres can be replaced individually, in pairs across an axle, or as a full set; we will recommend what is needed honestly, not push a full set if a single tyre will do.
Wheel balancing and alignment
Tyre balancing and wheel alignment are two different jobs that often get confused. Balancing corrects weight distribution around each wheel and is included with every tyre fit.
